ego and the path...

I’ve been “efforting” all day to write a blog about ego and the path. It seems what always stands between a person and God is their ego and their need to prove something to someone, which stems from fear. Even the holiest of men find parlor tricks to prove their connection to God. Take the “Perfume Saint” who could leave the scent of a flower wafting from your palm. This is not God. It’s ego.

As one moves farther along the path, it becomes more and more important to keep your ego in check. The more conscious you become the greater gifts you receive and if these gifts are used for ill will, well let’s just say it’s not that difficult to become Darth Vader or the Devil.

Beware of people who boast about themselves as healers or their spiritual path for those who are truly on the path are either to deep in contemplation/meditation with no time to boast or have reached Samadhi and will have no need to boast, not needing your approval.

We have reached a time when many people speak of being spiritual and use catch phrases as a lure but they have not done the work, they do not embody the work.

They have forgotten their humanity to appear closer to God.
