dream boards...

After The Secret came out the “dream board” was all the rage. Today I looked up how to make one just for fun. I read the steps: 1.) Find magazines (50-100)…, 2.) Go through them and cut out random pictures that appeal to you…, 3.) Purchase a magnetic board or a…I’m not going to bore you with the details but you get the idea, dream boards are pretty self-explanatory.

I have never created a dream board and I don't plan to but it's fun to imagine what the world would be like if just by gluing a few pictures on a board all your dreams came true? I bet there would be less war, hunger and poverty (assuming everyone had a dream board). So there’s got to be a trick, right? Because otherwise we’d all be living high off the hog. When I looked up how to make a dream board, I wasn’t really interested in the how, but the what, what they told you to do once your dream board was done. On wikiHow they said, Step 7.) “Place the dream board beside your bed or in your office and look at it at least twice a day for about five minutes. Enjoy the images, enjoy your work and imagine yourself leading the life that is in your dream board.”

I wonder how many people are truly successful at looking at their dream boards and “imagining themselves leading the life that is in their dream board.” I bet most people look at their dream boards wondering; why they don’t have that life, when is it going to happen, why hasn’t it happened, if their losers, why someone else has that life (the person in the picture) and they don’t, and then they storm off mad and disgruntled.

Let me share a little secret with you, this, my friends, will only manifest more of the same. The more you say I want, the more you are telling the Universe you don’t have and that level of thought will keep you in the place of not having. The more you resist, the more you create what you are resisting. Imagine the ouroboros (see picture for reference), the serpent eats it’s own tail and the cycle goes on and on.

So what’s a guy or gal to do if they really want to manifest? Go ahead, create your dream board, relish it and then forget about it. Put it away or throw it out. The secret to manifesting is to state what you want, let it go (and I mean really let it go), and know that it is going to happen. How do you know? Because the Universe, angels, fairies, Leprechauns, Spirit, God, whatever you choose to believe in wants you to be happy and is working for your greater good. But if you question, if you fret, if you worry, wonder or doubt, it’s not going to happen. It’s all about faith.

If this seems like too much then just love yourself. Look in the mirror and tell yourself how much you love you (seems hokey but I bet if you do it with sincerity, you'll cry) and then give thanks for everything you are grateful for. This is how I started and it worked wonders.
