COOL photo! Kind of reminds me of that neat scene in "Death Becomes Her" with Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep. You know the scene? Where they are both dead and Meryl shoot Goldie with a huge shotgun and blasts a hole in her almost as big as she is and she spends the rest of the movie running around with the scenery showing through her middle? No?
There is a melancholic feeling to these words I feel. But also a feeling of hope and anticipation. It is fun to see how this theme has been processed with such a variety at different blogs.;)
Hi Stacey! I am sorry it took me so long to get back to you... thank you so much for the compliments on my blog! You are too kind :) Please use the telephone illo for your blog... I would be honored! I know it brought back a lot of memories from my youth too! What a great blog you have as well, very good read!
Do you think it is possible to use the phone as a tool for healing? I find the telephone terrifying sometimes, exhausting, exhilarating, but never peaceful and calming. I love that you call your son little Sage, he must be! The Heath Ledger experience sounded powerful, the mystical life we experience is perhaps the most fascinating aspect of being human...
Oh, I have been there. I remember checking the dial tone (back in the land line days) just to make sure it worked. There has to be a reason he hasn't called.....,
I always check my phone and email and whatnot when my sweetie is away. Or even if i've been away from those devices long enough for someone to contact me. You know, five minutes. ;)

Um... phones, no. But emails. I check the inbox repeatedly some days. I know what I am waiting for. It hasn't arrived yet!

i just came to that realization.
I really enjoy your blog. I left something for you over on mine so if you get a chance check it out!
The waiting is for that sense of bliss, the sappy, gooey, too cool, wonder of connection that someone else - feels it too.
Powerful post.
